*Saints Show Society the Path of Truth, Service and Patriotism- Chief Minister*

Chandigarh, July 27 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the lives of saints and spiritual leaders serve as a timeless source of inspiration for society. Their ideals promote humanity, selfless service, social harmony and nation-building. He said it is imperative to connect the younger generation with these values so that the spirit of harmony, moral conduct and cultural ethos is further strengthened in society.

The Chief Minister was addressing the Murti Pran Pratishtha ceremony held on Monday at the newly constructed Samadhi shrine of Shri Shri 1008 Siddh Baba Khak Nath Ji Maharaj in Ujhana village of Jind district. The ceremony was attended by Mahant Balak Nath, Head of Math Asthal Bohar, Rohtak, and MLA from Tijara (Rajasthan), Haryana Cabinet Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi, Deputy Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha,  Dr. Krishan Lal Middha, Mahant Raj Nath of Ujhana Math, Mahant Puran Nath, village Sarpanch Sunil Kumar, and several other distinguished guests.

Responding to the demands of residents, the Chief Minister announced Rs.1 crore for the construction of a community centre in Ujhana and Rs. 51 lakh for other development works in the village. He further announced that road construction, renovation of the village pond, a permanent solution for water drainage and the introduction of the Science stream in the village school would also be undertaken as per the villagers’ demands. During the visit, he offered prayers at the temple, participated in the concluding rituals of the yajna and also hoisted the religious flag.

Addressing the gathering, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the consecration of a great spiritual personality’s idol is not merely a religious ritual but a commitment to establish devotion in one’s life, embrace truth in one’s conduct, cultivate compassion in one’s behaviour and uphold the values of service and social harmony. He expressed happiness that the sacred Ujhana Math has remained a centre of faith for millions of devotees for nearly 600 years. He said India’s greatest strength lies in its rich spiritual tradition.

Appreciating the gaushala being managed by the Ujhana Dham, the Chief Minister said that a gaushala is a living symbol of compassion and sensitivity embedded in Indian culture. In Indian tradition, service to cows is not only a matter of religious faith but also a cultural responsibility. He said the culture of protecting and respecting nature and Gau Mata would help India realise its vision of becoming a Vishwa Guru.

The Chief Minister said saints have always united society while spreading the message of human service and spiritual awakening. Whenever society has lost its way, saints have acted as guiding lights, showing the path of righteousness. He said that a strong, value-based society can be built only by following the ideals of saints. He added that the Haryana Government is continuously working to take the thoughts and contributions of saints and great personalities to every section of society. Under the Sant Mahapurush Samman evam Vichar Prasar Yojana, birth anniversaries and memorial days of great personalities are being observed on a large scale so that the younger generation can draw inspiration from their lives.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the country is moving ahead with renewed commitment towards preserving and promoting India’s cultural heritage and spiritual values. The construction of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, along with projects such as Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Mahakal Lok, has infused new energy into India’s cultural consciousness. He said that while the country is witnessing rapid expansion of modern infrastructure and public facilities under the Prime Minister’s leadership, India’s ancient spiritual traditions are also being revitalised.

The Chief Minister said that out of the 217  Sankalps made before the Assembly elections, 66 have already been fulfilled within one and a half years, while work on the remaining commitments is progressing. He said that during the BJP Government’s third term, Haryana is procuring the highest number of crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) compared to other states. Under the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, eligible women are receiving Rs. 2,100 per month, while poor households are being provided LPG cylinders at Rs.500. He further said that free dialysis services, renovation of district hospitals and the establishment of new medical colleges are also progressing at a rapid pace across the state.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the Haryana Government remains committed to the welfare and holistic development of every citizen. He said the Government is working with the vision of inclusive development by taking every section of society along, while ensuring a transparent and people-centric governance system in the state.

Extending his greetings to devotees on the occasion of the Murti Pran Pratishtha of Shri Shri 1008 Siddh Baba Khak Nath Ji Maharaj, the Chief Minister said such events strengthen spiritual awareness, social harmony and cultural values. He urged people to imbibe the ideals of saints in their lives and contribute actively towards environmental conservation, cow protection, social service and the welfare of humanity.

Cabinet Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi said that the religious event held on the sacred land of Jind had taken place at an auspicious moment. He remarked that witnessing saints and the ruler on the same stage is considered a matter of great fortune. He said the people present were blessed to witness revered saints alongside the Chief Minister, adding that this unique confluence would further accelerate development, peace, prosperity and happiness across Haryana.

He added that the Chief Minister’s governance model is being widely appreciated across the country, with Chief Ministers of other states also admiring—and attempting to emulate—his simplicity, approachable nature and style of functioning.
